Musiga has finally conducted successful elections and chosen highlife musician Bessa Simons as its president after 8 years of unrest and refusing to work as one unit. Bessa will be the union’s leader for the next 4 years and hopes to be the beacon of change the union needs in this trying time. He promised a lot of things, including being open to innovative ideas from anyone on how to make the Musicians Union of Ghana something to write home about but there are those who think he is not the savior the union needs.
